Michigan Armored Divison Photo Shoot
In August 2002 the MADmen got together for a dio shoot. This was proceded by a bivouac and much beer drinking. On the day of the photo shoot we took time out for Barbecue (thanks to Einer and family) and all of the members had a chance to fire some real WW2 era weapons. If this wasn't enough fun a real M2 50 cal firing on auto all day long about a mile down the road provided the apporpriate background music. MADman Einers family was kind enough to lend us the use of some of the county they practically own for our activites. Without a doubt this has been the number one highlight for our group since it's beginning.

Elements of the Michigan Armored Division move up off the beach for action.
This beauty of a bridge was constructed specifically for the dio shoot by fellow MADman Bryan Jones. Bryan even constructed ruins of the previous bridge taken out by allied fighter bombers which saddly can not be seen in the picture. The bridge was constructed entirely from wood and has since found a happy home in MADman Nate Strongs basement diorama section. Nate was sweating the details as we tried to figure out how to get the darn thing in his mini van, somehow he wedged it in and could be seen smiling all the way home.
My crazy M8 time trap puts an HP round downrange.e to add your text.
This SS sniper team set up for a shot on the advancing Americans. These guys were tucked away on a ridge overlooking the advance and I darn near missed noticing them for a photo. I believe these figures belong to our resident squid Hans (Chuck) Albin. Chuck proved he was SEAL material sleeping in a folding chair the night before. I suspect alcohol and Einers snoring had more to do with this decision than Chucks fortitude, he will get the chance to reprove himself at the winter shoot.
Tiger on the loose!! MADman Rob McNish's impressive Tiger 1 and crew move forward to thwart the allied advance. We tried talking Rob into letting us set it on fire for the sake of the shoot but he was pretty quick to say no! Rob had us in a panic as he was casually late for the shoot and he is the only guy in the group with a serious piece of german armor. Luckily he showed up in time to bring out the Tiger.
