The Dragon Y straps are solid molded vinyl. Because of this the auxilary straps which would be used to secure the A frame, rucksack etc. stick out like wings. In reallity these are held in place with a rivet type of assembly which allows the straps to pivot as needed. Normally these hang down because of gravity rather than stick out to the side. Well here's an easy fix to add just a bit of detail to your germans.
This is an easy fix! Just cut off the offending straps with an Exacto. Now trim off the raised portion of the remainder of the strap from the back of the Y strap. You can see in the pic below that the excess on the strap on the left has been trimmed off while it has not on the right. Now just CA (cyanoacrolate or super glue) the straps back into place hanging down parallel to the main straps, or nearly so. Don't worry about making them identical, they should be a bit different from each other for a more natural look.
